Dawn Watrous
4th & 5th grade TAG ELA/SS
Dawn Watrous joined Oak Grove School in August 2015. After attending the University of Michigan and the School of The Art Institute, Ms. Watrous has an undergraduate degree in both the Visual Arts and African Studies. She also has a Master of Arts in Teaching degree from National Louis University. Prior to entering education, Ms. Watrous' first career was in children's book publishing. She worked for Random House Children's Books, Chronicle Books, and North-South. Some of her favorite books she worked on include The Rainbow Fish and The Magic Tree House series. Ms. Watrous brings her love of children's literature into her ELA classroom and strives to inspire a similar love of reading and writing. At OGS, Ms. Watrous has had the opportunity to teach Kindergarten, first grade, fourth grade, and fifth grade, as well as TAG ELA.
