Halloween - Reminder
At Oak Grove, the Halloween parade is a tradition that we offer all of our kindergarten through 3rd Grade students to participate in, and our 4th through 8th grade students to watch. This is not a requirement, but is an opportunity that is offered to all students. For more information regarding the Halloween parade, classroom parties, and costumes on October 31, please click HERE.

Milk - Reminder
If you need to purchase milk for the school year, please visit our Revtrak page so your child's name can be added to the list of students receiving milk. We do check our lists daily to ensure the milk is being distributed correctly. However, if for some reason you find that there might be a mistake with your order please reach out to Rob Rendon at rendon@ogschool.org. Thank you for your support and have a great day!

We are excited to share that we will be live streaming the event for all Oak Grove families to enjoy as well.

SEL Update
In grades K-5, students discuss quotes during SEL time. The quotes for this week are:
“Never look down on anyone, unless you’re helping him up.” -Jesse Jackson
“Wrong is wrong even if everyone is doing it. Right is right even if no one is doing it.” – St. Augustine

Students in grades K-5 will practice recognizing and reporting bullying. Students will learn the difference between asking for help, reporting, and tattling. Students in grades 6-8 focused on self-efficacy and recognizing their individual strengths. For more information, visit our website.

PLEASE READ- Safety

It has been brought to our attention that students are being picked up from the back of our school on Lexington Road, within the zone designated as "no parking, standing, or stopping." If you are picking up your child in a car, you will need to use the upper parking lot to do so. OGS buses are at full capacity and our car line clears withn approximately ten minutes, making pick-up far more convenient than in past years. All students will be reminded this week that only walkers are to exit out the back doors to the field. The Village, community members, and school administration have all requested the support of law enforcement to monitor Lexington Road to ensure student safety remains the priority.
